My vibrant, bold works depict a diverse range of subjects, from abstract figurative to botanical still lives. My loose forms and dynamic compositions portray the subject in its simplistic form.

Fashion in both its physical and graphic state plays a hugely inspirational role for me. From the quick rendering of an illustration that manages to portray the exact cut of a dress, through to the sharp edges and lines of haute-couture. The classic beauty of vintage woman's catalogues with their meticulous penmanship always held such charm and allure when I was a child, as did the glossy folds of Vogue as a young adult. There's something timeless about them that I try to capture in my art; a sense of spanning decades rather than years.
My process begins with marks before colours are layered, revealing flattened forms and fluid lines. I'm always eager to paint. I love the evolution of the journey in self-expression, it is both meditative and thought-provoking.

My passion for painting has become entrenched and always evolving. I always find it hard to walk away from a painting!
